The Year 12 mocks are upon us and as expected all the Year 12 boarders have been busy revising, day in day out, in the run up to these important exams. They are well supported both at school and in the boarding house of course, with classes running as per usual. This means that pupils have been able to take full advantage of teacher support outside of their exam timetable.
The weekly excursion had a slightly historical twist yesterday with a trip to see the new film, J Edgar; leaving a tranquil boarding house for the Year 12s to take full advantage of. The film was enjoyed by all and was followed by a pizza night for all, which was thoroughly appreciated by all, as it comes by so rarely!
I have posted photos below of the baorders enjoying their wekly excurson:
Of course the excitement here at Tenbury House is running high for other reasons; Trips week isquite literally a week away and as boarders pack their bags, ready for an awe inspiring week in India, London or Paris, to mention just a few, timetables and agendas are being published, revealing the exciting activities they have to look forward to.
Next week’s trip is something we have all been looking forward to with Madrid hosting its annual Flamenco festival, Last year we were able to see El Niño, a young man in his twenties who has achieved fame at such a young age for his passionate guitar playing. This year we are lucky enough to have secured tickets to see India Martinez and the Carrasco family who are aristocracy on the Flamenco scene. Please scroll down on the blog to see a video of El Niño playing last year and read the blog written by our Head Boy Alex Murphy who was so inspired by the flamenco artist that he decided to learn Spanish guitar.
